The Hispanic Public Relations Association (HPRA) today announced Wednesday, June 25, as “Latino Social Media Day,” a time to nationally recognize the achievements and growing influence Latinos are making through innovative and creative online platforms. According to Pew Research, 80 percent of Latinos use social media, compared to 70 percent of whites and 75 percent of African Americans.

I have been a T-Mobile customer for many years; I started my service with them while I was a resident of Puerto Rico around 2009. Recently, my Samsung Galaxy S3 suddenly died and I was “advised” that this might be a good time to get service with a different company and get a new phone.

I was having mixed feelings about the situation, but I went ahead and try a new company that was offering the newest Samsung Smartphone with a two year contract for a fraction of the cost.

Recently during the Pride Fest in Asbury Park in New Jersey, I came across a group of volunteers from the movement Food Not Bombs sharing food and books to the hungry people in the street.  Their table was located near the Asbury Park Train Station and it caught our attention.

We all know is not safe to text and drive, but have we’ve been in an accident caused by this distraction?  This new ad from Volkswagen will make you see what is like to take your eyes off the road to answer a text while you are driving.  Very interesting campaign.

COMO USAR LA FUNCION “DUAL CAMERA” DEL SAMSUNG GALAXY S5 #SAMSUNG #GALAXYS5 [VIDEO]

 

Recientemente adquirí el “smart phone” Galaxy S5 y estoy encantadisima con la camara.  Este teléfono tiene una cámara frontal de 3 MP y una cámara en la parte trasera de 16 MP con excelentes capacidades de fotos y video en “High Definition”.

Como bloguera y aficionada de la fotografía le he sacado mucho provecho a este “smart phone”, tanto con las fotos y los videos.   Aquí les presento este pequeño tutorial de como usar una de las tantas funciones de la cámara, el “dual camera” con el cual puedes utilizar ambas cámaras simultáneamente y con diferentes elementos visuales.  El video fue creado y editado con mi Galaxy S5.

 

MERY DESDE EL JERSEY PRIDE FEST 2014 – THELMA HOUSTON EN TARIMA #LGBT #NJPRIDE [VIDEO]

Este domingo 1ro de Junio, mi pareja y yo estuvimos disfrutando del Jersey Pride Fest 2014, que da inicio al Mes del Orgullo LGBTT en todos los Estados Unidos.

El cierre de la actividad estuvo a cargo de la legendaria cantante Thelma Houston, quien compartio alguno de sus existos como “Don’t Leave me this way” y un homenaje a Donna Summers con su propia interpretación del clasico “Last Dance”.  Espero disfruten este pequeño video que le comparto de la actividad.

Todos los que hemos viajado sabemos que durante el inicio del vuelo, por orden de la FAA (Federal Aviation Agency) las aerolíneas tienen que proveer instrucciones de seguridad a sus pasajeros.  Dependiendo de la aerolínea en la que viajes estas instrucciones pueden ser provistas mediante un video que presentan en las pantallas individuales del avión o mediante uno de los miembros de la tripulación quien simula las acciones de emergencia mientras son narradas a través de los altoparlantes.
